THE ARTS
The Martial Art
The simple, principle-based syllabus incorporates groundwork, footwork, striking, kicking, takedowns, the use of a variety of weapons and tari – a free-flowing, martial dance. The art can be practised in a relaxed, gentle manner, with an emphasis on physical and emotional wellbeing, and in a dynamic, aggressive way more suited to physical self-defence.
The Life Art
This is the study of how and when to apply various Principles to add value into everyday life. The focus is on emotional management, resiliency, skilled attention giving, teaching oneself, communication, creating positive relationships, and taking appropriate action. Meditation and breathing practices are also taught and are of value to both the Martial and the Life Art.
THE TEACHERS
The two senior teachers are Guru Tua Chris Parker and Guru Eddie Quinn.

GURU TUA CHRIS
Chris met his Silat teacher, Hj Bapak Idris bin Alimuda, in Cheltenham, England, in 1976. It was the start of a lifelong relationship.
More than three decades later, Bapak named Chris’s expression of the art, Silat Fitrah.
Inspired by Bapak, Chris has spent over forty years studying the relationship between communication, influence, and human performance. He is a highly accomplished teacher and the author of 18 books.
Chris began his practice and study of meditation shortly after meeting Bapak Idris.
GURU EDDIE
Guru Eddie became a private student of Guru Tua Chris in 1993 and has been training with him ever since.
Eddie is known globally as the creator of an award-winning method of self-defence, The Approach, which is drawn from one aspect of Silat Fitrah.
Eddie is regarded worldwide as an inspiring and highly skilled teacher. He has taught children, members of the public, martial artists, police officers, royal bodyguards, and members of the elite military.
Like Chris, he has studied with Bapak Idris. Guru Eddie is the lineage holder to Silat Fitrah.
